Meeting the expectations and needs of consumers is a priority in every industry nowadays. For lingerie manufacturers and designers, the result is a full catalog of bras differing in functionality, appearance, and use. How to distinguish them? What are their characteristics? Here is a list of the most popular and frequently purchased models:
1. Full-cup Bra (padded)
One of the most comfortable models, which covers and conceals the entire breasts, giving them a round shape. This type of bra is dedicated especially to women with large breasts. Additionally equipped with wide, comfortable straps, it is the best everyday model.
2. Half-cup bra (balconette)
Unlike the full-cup, this type of bra exposes the upper parts of the breasts and works well with deeper necklines. The bra makes the bust slightly lifted and rounded, and wearing it is just as pleasant and comfortable as the previous one. The versatility of this model means it can be used both daily and for more demanding outfits where a cut neckline prevents wearing a full-coverage bra.
3. Push-up bra
The magician among bras, a model that can visually enlarge the bust size. This is achieved thanks to built-in pads that push the bust upwards and make it appear larger. It is extremely popular among women with small breasts, and the key to the desired effect is proper fitting to the body.
4. Longline bra
A bra with an extended band is meant to resemble a corset both in appearance and functionality. It shapes not only the breasts but also the back and sides of the chest, making it appear slimmer and more slender. This model is extremely popular among designers for whom the bra is a visible element of the entire outfit. One of its greatest advantages is that it does not leave marks like other models and looks really nice on the bust.
5. Strapless bra (without straps, e.g., bardot)
The bardot, the Polish version of the "strapless" bra, is an ideal model for tops and dresses without straps or with very thin straps that would not cover the bra. Detachable straps and a horizontal upper edge line of the bra supported by silicone strips holding the bust are two characteristic features of the bardot, which is a typical evening bra.
6. Semisoft bra (semi-padded)
A model that combines the advantages of both padded and soft bras. It is light, soft, yet firmly supports the breast. Semisoft usually has padding at the bottom of the cup, while the upper part remains soft. The bra can nicely smooth and conceal breast irregularities and looks great on both small and larger busts.
7. Soft bra
The soft cup model is a bra available in two versions. The version without underwire, usually made of lace or tulle, is recommended for women with a small bust. The soft bra with underwire allows support and shaping of medium and large busts. In both versions, the cups are very comfortable, delicate, and do not restrict movement, so their popularity increases with the arrival of hot summer.
8. Soft side support bra (soft with side support panel)
Enhancing the soft model with a side panel supporting the bust makes this bra excellent at gathering and rounding a very full bust. The soft cups are comfortable and cozy, and the stable construction provides excellent support to keep the breasts in the proper shape.

9. Sports bra
A soft, very full-coverage, and elastic bra is primarily designed to protect and immobilize the bust during exercise. A sports bra is usually made of thicker, breathable material that gathers and supports the bust in one place.
10. Multiway bra
Close to a bardot style, a bra with detachable and adjustable straps is great for demanding camisoles, e.g., boxer style, and evening dresses. The straps can be freely adjusted, crossed, detached, and replaced with transparent silicone straps so they remain invisible under clothing.

11. Nursing bra
A great convenience for every mother and pregnant woman is a bra with detachable cups. It allows easy access to the breasts without the need to remove the entire bra. This is a comfortable and functional solution that enables mothers to efficiently feed their child, but also skillfully highlight and support the bust during and after pregnancy.
